INTRODUCING NEW COGOP BLOG SERIES: BEHIND THE PASTOR (READ ALONG VOICEOVER AVAILABLE)

Don't feel like reading?

Lazy... Anyway, here you go. A voiceover recorded just for you and your laziness. BOO!! (Just kidding.)

BEHIND THE PASTOR is a NEW weekly series that dives into the mind of the drummer, who...literally sits behind the Pastor. Yeah, that's pretty much as far as that title goes, BUT IT'S COOL, right?

Anyway, I will be sharing with you takeaways and notes from the message of the Pastor's sermon.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Maybe you couldn't make it to church because your tire exploded the day before. Perhaps you actually made it to church, but you couldn't stay awake long enough to catch why everybody started laughing all of a sudden. Maybe you were partying late last night and forgot that Sunday was one of the days, then you woke up and drove all the way to work only to see the lights off, and the parking lot is empty.

If any of those "maybe's" sounds like you, then you should be seeing the point right about now.

WHAT'S THE POINT?

All jokes aside, I am the church's drummer, but I am also a writer. As such, I seek to help interpret some messages that were either lost in the moment or to review topics that I feel should be discussed more.

Sometimes, I have additional feedback that I've collected from my own interpretations and from having discussions with other people in the church.

Basically, this sermon recap is entirely and partially subjective to my objective, personal, non-biased internal outlook of the external...

(And you can have fun with that.)

HERE'S WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO:

  • Insider notes about the sermon straight from the horse's mouth

  • Pastor's sermon for the week

  • Deeper dive into multiple interpretations of the message for the week

  • Direct thoughts from the pulpit about the week's sermon

  • Upcoming sermon information for future Sunday services

  • FULL AND OPEN DISCUSSIONS! You will have several opportunities to share your thoughts about any given topic either on the blog or on our Facebook page. (We hope to give rewards to participants in the future.)

  • Voice recordings - That way, you can listen to all this information either while driving, cooking, or whatever else you do that requires your eyes for survival!

This series is going to be awesome, but it will only grow if you support Pastor Delores and the Blythewood COGOP.
