How you can donate and participate in building lives

At Blythewood COGOP, we do not force or coerce you to give.  We trust that you will be led by God as it relates to giving.

In Luke 6:38, Jesus said,  “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Giving is a biblical principal that God uses to produce a harvest in your life. Many are taught that they should give to God. We do not give and tithe because God needs our money.  God is the creator of  wealth and money. Quite frankly, God does not need your money.  It is God who blesses us with wealth and increase.  We give so that we can participate in the spiritual work to help others learn and live God! We give so that the message and love of God can be spread to our communities and to the world.   Tithing positions you  to receive a harvest. It is one of God's ways or prospering you. When you plant a seed, it will produce a harvest. Every farmer who plants a seed, does it with intention -- to produce a harvest.  A farmer who does not plant seeds, can not expect to reap a harvest.

God is more concerned with the condition of your heart as you give, rather than the amount of giving. It is through giving where the greatest blessings can be seen.

If you need a miraculous change in your life, clarity, a breakthrough of some sort, why not give?  God says,

“Test me in this,” “See if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10). “Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Prov. 3: 9-10.
